Hey folks,
After all this talking about VimPim, I decided to finish up
my help file and put the basic package together after all.
For now, VimPim is a simple bit of glue that lets you have a
Calendar window open (calendar.vim), then hit Enter on any
date and jump to the corresponding date in a "pim" file (VO
with added syntax highlighting) in another buffer.
You need calendar.vim, some calendar files (generated by
outline_calendar), and of course VimOutliner. You'll also
need a cron job to update your calendar tags (see the help
file).
I'm still migrating my web site, but here's a link to the
beta release:
http://billpowellisalive.com/pub/linux/vimpim/vimpim-0.1.tar.gz
You'll note this is _not_ yet ready to be on vim.org or
vimoutliner.org ;)
In an earlier post, I'd mentioned that I had to edit
calendar.vim, but apparently I'd remembered wrong. The
calendar.vim plugin provides a hook which makes any tweaking
unnecessary; I just tested VimPim on the most recent
calendar.vim release, and it seemed to work fine.
More info in the included help file, including a TODO list
with ideas for future features (some of which I've almost
finished, esp. project tracking).
As I said before, I'm curious to see how Noel did this too.
Any feedback _much_ appreciated! When it's looking stable,
I'll post it to vim.org. And I should have a dedicated page
for it sometime next week.
This list has been great lately.
