[Vimoutliner] LyX has outline mode!

mmhhh... I'm not quite sure, but it sounds like the folding in vimlatex.
BTW, if you are serious about writing books, you should try LaTeX
instead of MSWord (and yes, IMHO, even instead of LyX). Or, at least,
split your book in several files, say, one per chapter
